Synopsis / Plot
Quiet, earnest, and a bit nerdy, Toyama Satoshi runs a marine plants store where he can indulge in his love for aquatic vegetation. Though he barely makes enough money, Satoshi is determined to hold on to the store as it fulfills a promise he made to his two best friends years ago. One day, a beautiful young model shows up at his steps asking for a job. As clueless as ever, it takes some time before Satoshi realizes that she is actually his childhood friend and first crush Karin. Though he doesn’t understand what has brought Karin to him so suddenly after thirteen years, Satoshi is glad to have her back in his life. Their happiness is short-lived though as they soon receive sobering news about their friend Yuji .

Plot
After a series of deaths in Tokyo, Kyoko (Mimura) receives the cell phone call that all but guarantees her eventual death. She travels to Taiwan with her boyfriend Naoto (Yu Yoshizawa) and a reporter named Takako (Asaka Seto) in a desperate attempt to figure out the source of the curse before she's taken by it. They uncover a long-hidden crime in which a little girl with psychic abilities was cruelly murdered and buried within a mine to keep her premonitions from taking place. Now they must find the spot she was buried and hopefully put an end to the curse, but an even more malevolent spirit appears to be at work.

Shaolin Girl (少林少女 ,shōrin shōjo?) is the Japanese answer to the hit 2001 Hong Kong film, Shaolin Soccer. Unlike the original film, the movie focuses on women's lacrosse. It will star Japanese actress Kou Shibasaki and see Hong Kong actors Lam Chi Chung and Kai Man Tin return from the original film. The film was released in Japan on April 26, 2008. Stephen Chow, director and star in Shaolin Soccer, was the producer, but is not credited as writer or director.
